Tick tock
Goes the clock
Another day goes by
The years come and go
While people are still denied
Their right to flourish and grow
Change can be made
So what’s stopping it?
The forces that degrade
People as social misfits
Ethnocentrism is still applied
And arrogantly used to justify
A complete lack of respect
Towards new concepts
That may help people up
Isn’t that enough?
But it is the fear of an uprising
Against those that do the oppressing
That keep the iron shackles intact
Always armed in constant attack
Wielding a heavy choker chain
To abuse peoples bodies and control their brains
Out of the Darkness and into the Light
